Telephone Networking Solution

A telephone network enables communication between telephones for calls, faxes, and internet. Originating in the 1920s, it evolved with computers and dial-up internet in the 1990s.

There are several types of telephone networks:

  1. Public switched telephone network (PSTN): Landline network requiring direct wiring to a central exchange.

  2. Wireless network: Mobile phones with coverage across various locations.

  3. Private branch exchange (PBX): Closed network within organisations, connecting internal phones and using a gateway for external communication.

  4. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN).

Public telephone operators manage PSTN and wireless networks, while Virtual Network Operators lease network capacity for direct telephony service.
